Game Drive in South Africa

Africa South Africa

I think the most incredible experience we had was going to South Africa to do a game drive. It was wonderful! South Africa is beautiful. The people are receptive, and seeing the animals in their habitat is unforgettable.
When we decided to travel to Africa, we wanted to stay in a reserve. We wanted to enjoy every moment and be near the animals. That was the best choice for this travel.

The routine in the reserve was totally focused on the game drive. Despite the hotel having a great structure and excellent staff; the most important activity there is the game drive. Because of this, don’t lose any opportunity to do a safari game drive. No need to sleep or relax, they’ll be other times for that. Also, every game drive is different, you never know what you’ll discover.

The first game drive started at 6:30 am. We woke up around 5:30 am to drink a little coffee, then piled into the jeep to start our adventure. We went in April, so it was a bit cold. Our great expectancy was to see the Big Five: Elephants, Rhinos, Lions, Leopard and Buffalo. During the game drive, we stopped to relax a little and drink some coffee. It was a different experience because you stop in the middle of Savannah. You never know what animal will appear. In one of these stops, we saw four hippos while we drank coffee next to the lake.

After the first Game, we came back to the hotel. We had breakfast and had some time to relax. You could either go to the pool, to a spa, or sleep. There is not a television in the hotel, and sincerely you don’t need one.
In the afternoon, we went to a new game drive. I really loved seeing the big animals, and lion cubs. The most exciting experience was when we found a herd of elephants coming towards us. It was incredible!
