How many people have been impressed by pictures of people swinging into the void? Would you dare take the swing?

That swing exists and it is called the swing at the end of the world. It is located in “Casa del Árbol” in Baños, Ecuador. Baños is a region located in the center of the country and it is famous because of the variety of places for real adventurers. “Casa de arbol” means the Tree House and it has two swings, one on the right side and another one on the left. You are able to use both.

For many people, the swing can look terrifying but don’t worry! It has something very similar to a seat belt and it won’t allow you to fall down. Sitting in this swing gives you the chance to have a great view of the mountains, to see the big valley below your toes and the Volcano Tungurahua in front of you. This is something you should experience before you die!

Getting to “Casa Del Arbol” is easy. You only need to take one bus from the city center and it costs $1 dollar. The bus leaves at 5:45 am, 9 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm. The trip lasts about 30 minutes. Also, the entrance to the swing costs $1 dollar and you can ride the swing as many times as you want but you should wait in the line. In my case, once I did the swing, I would swing again and again. I did it 3 times!

If you come with family or friends, you will have a nice day. I saw many people having a picnic here. From my experience, I can say the moment on the swing is really amazing, It was a mix of feelings; happiness, fear, freedom and adrenaline. I can highly recommend to all travelers to live this adventure!
