Jackson Hole

United States Wyoming

I’ll admit, this was my first thought when my boss mentioned to me I’d be managing a program in Wyoming, “Why Wyoming? What’s even there?!”

Oh boy, was I all kinds of wrong! While most of my time was spent working, I was still able to do and learn so much of this amazing place! First, both Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park are found here. They are obviously must go sees!

But let’s start from the beginning, I got in a couple days before my program start and stayed at the beautiful Snake River Lodge (4-diamond resort!) in Teton Village. It’s just 25-30 minutes away from the Town of Jackson. Before my program, I was running around town wrapping up meetings with my suppliers and doing all the work before work. This involved, going up to the top of Rendezvous Mountain (um, hello gorgeous views!). I also got to drive over to Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. We didn’t do any hiking this day, but through our drive we got to stop and take amazing pics. That itself was amazing! We walked around the Old Faithful area, one can easily spend hours there! Along our route we spotted a moose, deer, bison, marmats and even cuter – a grizzly and her two cubs!!!! If you follow along on my IG stories, you saw her there! Just the cutest! It’s crazy how many people will stand out there for hours to spot her and get her photo. For sure some NatGeo peeps were out there!

The program went great!! I’ll mention Rendezvous Mountain again. We had dinner atop the mountain and it was amazing! I’ll highly recommend taking the Teton Village Aerial Tram (tip: purchase tickets online- you’ll save!) up to Top of the World Waffles – drool in your mouth yum! All they had to say was Nutella and I was sold. The brown sugar one was also really good! We had the group take a tour through Yellowstone, and for their Farewell Dinner, we had them at the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar/Steakhouse. Really cool spot!

After the program was over, I was able to have some fun! Has anyone ever tried white-water rafting? SO. MUCH. FUN! There were too many laughs!! Wish I had a GoPro for this! We took on the winding ways of the Snake River – thanks so much to Barker-Ewing for the fun ride, and great staff! This place has been a blast and the views have been so incredible. The mountains and the wildlife make your realize how small you are on this Earth, but also that you play an important part. Life is amazing in all it does!

Other recommendations:

  • Thai Me Up/Melvin’s Brewery (order the 2×4 local beer, people travel for this one. It’s no wonder why!)
  • Earthbound Trading Co. (the perfect shop for the wanderlust heart!)
  • MADE (all made goods from Jackson Hole, so many cute home goods!)
  • Cowboy’s Coffee Bar (need I say more?)
  • The Local (local happy hour wasssss good! We could’ve stayed longer here!)
  • Moo’s Gourmet Ice Cream (Jackson Hole’s organic ice, so yum)

We’ll have our next program in Carmel, California. Any recommendations there? Safe travels!
