Guatemala, Latin America

My Trip To Guatemala

Guatemala Latin America

Let me start off by saying that 1 week is definitely not enough time in Guatemala! Locals and I agreed that 1 month would be ideal. There is so much to see and so many wondrous sites and ruins that it can be tough to decide which ones to venture too. A few must see’s for me included Semuc Champey, far from Guatemala City but worth it. With all natural spring water and limestone, it was an absolute dream and the most beautiful and serene place I’ve ever been.

Another unforgettable moment is setting sights on Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcanoes and wild flowers/plants. Definitely take a boat ride to check out the surrounding lakeside towns. I went to San Pedro La Laguna and enjoyed my time there. Of course, the charming colonial town of Antigua is a must. From the little streets, the famous arch, numerous cathedrals, and talented painter, Guatemala is truly a hidden gem and an abundance of natural and historic beauty. I would definitely go back to Guatemala!
